Western Shipping Line has an immediate opening for an experienced International Food & Beverage Import & Export coordinator in Torrance, CA.
Position: Import & Export Coordinator
Location: Torrance, CA
Reports to: Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Approximate Monthly salary: $4,500- $5,000
Working hour: 9am – 5pm (Mon – Fri)
OVERVIEW:
Western Shipping Line is looking for an immediate hire for an Import & Export coordinator. Previous experience working with international food and beverage companies in Asia is highly desired. Must be able to coordinate the shipping, tracking and arrival of goods. Must be familiar with the creation of the necessary documents as required by the FDA. Creation and printing of FDA compliant nutritional facts panel per item imported. Must have Micro Soft and data entry skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
• Coordinate and arrange transportation of import and export shipment (air & ocean).
• Track the movement of cargo and provide up-to-date status to our customers.
• Communicate via email with overseas partners to coordinate arrival of goods.
• Prepare all documents related to each shipment and verify the accuracy.
• Create and print FDA compliant nutritional facts panel for items imported
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2 years of work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Previous work experience as a customer service role is preferred (not mandatory)
• Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) and/or Japanese preferred: read, write and speak
